Please support our efforts by donating children's books!

A post I made 2 months ago explains why this is our next initiative: “

I got to play with one of the most precious... chocolate, big cheek babies in passing while at court today! 😍 Her mom and grandma graciously let me hold her.

I noticed that every time I opened my mouth, the biggest smile came across her face and her eyes were locked on me. ♥️

I began to casually share with her mom how great that is and I told her about the statistical reality that the more words she is exposed to the more likely it is that she will have a higher IQ and perform better on certain testing. I don’t think her mom had heard this before.

As we talked, I assured her, “It doesn’t have to be riveting conversation. Point out colors and shapes. Talk to her about what you are doing around her as you are doing it. Read her books. They don’t even have to be “baby books”, you can just read appropriate material to her that you may be personally interested in reading... all the while she’ll learn so much and be so well prepared.” I didn’t force this conversation, or operate out of patronizing presumption. I shared these things with her mom because her mom expressed interest and invited conversation and follow up.

That baby was so cute, very interactive, attentive and WORTHY. I’m tempted to find out how I can connect with the family and provide more support... I’m wondering if Integrity Law Practice, PLLC should conduct a book drive so that the next time I get to hold an adorable chocolate, big cheeked baby girl, I can talk to her, play with her and then ask for her mailing address so that every month, I can mail her a book...

It’s not THE end all be all solution, but it is a solution of sorts and it’s attainable. I’m learning the power in living a life that makes room to acknowledge (and value) the attainable solutions that are within our reach. They may not be complete cures, but they matter.”

March 15-March 29, we are hosting a children's book drive, will you contribute donations?

Donations may be delivered (or mailed) to our office. (If you deliver the books in person, feel fee to drop them through the mail slot in our door. The office may be accessed M-S 9am-7pm)
